Mission Statement

The mission of the Academic Testing Center at Utah State University (USU) is to provide an environment that is conducive to positive academic test taking. We strive to help students uphold the utmost academic honesty and integrity in compliance with the University’s honor code. We seek to have knowledgeable and courteous proctors and staff who do their best to accommodate testers according to their needs. We are committed to protecting the security of the exams and student information.

Testing...Are you ready?

Know what you need to bring before you take a test and prepare yourself and review the Student Testing Policies to be successful.

A valid form of photo ID is required to be allowed to take your exam. 
Your options are:

  • USU student ID (preferred)
  • Driver's License 
  • Military ID
  • Passport
  • All backpacks, purses, books and other materials must be inaccessible during the exam. You will be asked to keep these items under your desk. If they are too large to fit, do not bring them to your exam.

Schedule an Exam

Appointments are required in order to take your exam. Schedule your tests online, through email, or by phone. Be sure to schedule early to get the time you want. Also, get through check-in quickly by showing up 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time.
*The last exam is given out one hour before closing. Please schedule your exam to start before the last hour the Testing Center is open*

ALEKS math placement exams must be scheduled over the phone, through email, or in person at the testing center. ALEKS math placement exams will not be available during finals week.

Professional Testing Center

If you need to take the GRE, GMAT, MAT, LSAT, TOEFL, ACT, SAT, FE, PRAXIS, HESI or any other national standardized exam for admission, placement, certification, or licensure, please contact the Professional Testing Center. Testing for Non-USU Students

The USU Logan Testing Center can also proctor exams for other colleges or universities. A $20 fee is charged for this service. To schedule an appointment, or for more information, call (435) 797-3617 or email testingcenter@usu.edu. Learn more
