Proctored Testing

Many online courses require proctored exams. The proctor's role is to verify the identity of the student taking the exam and supervise to ensure that the instructions specified by the instructor are carried out. Generally students go to the proctor's location of business and take exams under the proctor's supervision.

Where do I find a Proctor?

Students living within 20 miles of a USU Statewide Campus should schedule exams at the center nearest to them. Students who do not live near a USU Statewide Campus will need to find someone to proctor their exams.

  1. Go to Materials and Testing Services
  2. Select the button under USU Students, Faculty & Staff Login to log in
  3. Log in with your A# and Password
  4. Select Find a Proctor
  5. Search for a proctor by Location or Name
  6. From the list of available proctors, select View Proctor Details
  7. When you find the proctor you want to use, contact them to make sure they are willing to proctor for you
  8. Select Save Proctor at the bottom of the page in order to give the proctor access to your exam information
  9. Contact the proctor to schedule your exam

If you can not find a local proctor, you can contact someone in your area to be a proctor and select Invite a proctor to have them certified.
